Who Are Sister Blue Threads?

Who is a Sister Blue Thread?
My Sister Blue Thread story started one night at my friends wedding shower. It was late. There were only four of us left and we were talking about the sermon at church that week.
It was about the Israelites who were told to make a tassel for each corner of their garment. Each tassel was to have a blue cord on it. Everytime they looked at the tassel it was to remind them of the commands of God and that they were to obey them.
You can read it in the verse below.
Numbers 15:38 - 39
38 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. 39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
We started talking about things we'd been through together and how we fight for each other to keep the faith. These were friends I'd gone through healing with. Who sat with me while I miscarried. We were in or at least at each other's weddings. Cried together over lost loved ones. We could call each other any time. When one hurt the other hurt with them. We laughed together over things other people wouldn't understand. We did the faith walk together. We did life together.
My friend said we were her blue threads. Then we all started talking and ended up calling each other Sister Blue Threads.
Since that night I've added lots of Sister Blue Threads that share life with me in the walk of faith.
A Sister Blue Thread is the women in your life that reminds you to do things God's way. No matter what. You can share your deepest secrets, cry your heart out with them, do a belly laugh and be guaranteed that they will fight for you in prayer any time of day or night.
